The Seventh Most Important Thing by Shelley Pearsall [A Book Review] [Spoiler-free]
Hello, Halo, Bonjour, Hola, Ciao, Salaam!
So, this is my second post. In this post, I'm going to talk about The Seventh Most Important Thing by Shelley Pearsall yayy! This book is so beautiful just like the cover. I shed tears when I read this book. ðŸ˜
My review:
🌟🌟🌟🌟/5
My bestie let me adopted this book from her and a few other books. I'm
.
Arthur T Owens is a thirteen year old boy. He is sentenced to juvie for throwing a brick at a trash picker. Arthur aims at his head and fortunately it hits the trash picker's shoulder. Arthur has his own reason of why he throws a brick at the trash picker. He explains it in front of Judge Warner in the courtroom (you can it by yourself, if I tell you now it will be a spoiler 😅). Yet, the trash picker has a different plan for him. He offers an alternative. A 120 hours of community service.
.
On the first day of his probation, Arthur is given a list of the seventh most important things by the Junk Man, they are:
- lightbulbs
- foil
- mirrors
- pieces of wood
- glass bottles
- coffee cans
- cardboard

The plot is interesting, it keeps you want to read more. It is fast paced, funny, and a light read. I finished it in one night. It is suitable for all ages especially middle grades. It tells you that there is more than what you see. The characters' development and characterisation is good. You can see the characters developing. Though, it is boring at first.
.
My favourite quotes from the book:
"Anything of value takes time"
"Where there is no vision, the people perish"All in all, this book is great and gives you a new view of life. Thank you for writing this book, Ms Pearsall.
Good review. I agree with you. This book is interisting.
